Looks like the photographer desaturated Gav and left the rest in colour. Don't like his pictures much. Bit too tacky wedding photographer for me.

Well this is a trip down memory-lane reviving this tread... I was looking for an entirely different photo, but checked the "shootmydog"-photo of Gavin and Max - and it was gone. Now this is up instead!

I am still not a dog-person - porcelain or otherwise! (Terrible childhood memory of being bitten by a.....ahum - poodle. The memory will haunt me a lifetime... ) Thought this photo was fun though, and the right half more than makes up for the left half in my eyes.

Thanks Cecilia for posting this charming new picture!! Am really sorry to hear about that Poodle-Incident!! It really will go into a child’s memory… :?

I do LOVE mutts though!! Ah, any, all of them - from vicious (sorry C ;-))) crooked-legged Jack-Russell Terriers (my faves!), beautiful mongrels, shy Bull Terriers to daring Whippets on to calm, sulphure-eyed Wolfhounds!! Big Time!!

And how charming to see that Gavin is not the one to keep Max on the floor, but shares his sofa with him XXX!!

Yes, I wish someone would have told me that particular four-legged "friend" did not appreciate being petted around the ears.... : )))))

O dear, since this is where most of them like to be petted! Must have been a bit disturbed, that dog!! :( (I am constantly running into danger since I pet almost every mutt to shreds... I should get Kevlar-gloves next time!).

Edit: P.S. And look: Gavin is NOT grey in this photograph!

The most embarassing thing about it is that it wasn´t even a "proper" dog - it was a poodle! A bit of curly-wurly on a string : )))) Apologies if anyone reading this is a poodle-owner - I very much doubt it though. Gavin and a poodle - not a very hot combo! ; ) A former class-mate of mine used to be in a band named The Poodles -terrible! : )))))
And yes, all in splendid 4-colour print!

 You were LUCKY it was only a TINY poodle, the big "proper" ones have the strong body and the vigour of a Doberman…(Hidden under a lot of “wool”)... (I was bitten once in my life - also gently padding a dog behind his ears - it was in Paris and the dog was a Cocker Spaniel  and he was called "Flash". Need I say more?

Thanks for the pic Cecilia

So, this is Max... but why not a real dog, Gavin??? :?: Were you bitten too :?:

I love dogs, I had a "Rex" (a real Rex... so he was not related to Max  ) for 13 years, and now 6 cats (they were not planned, they just came and stayed...). Sorry you were bitten Cecilia, but I've always had a feeling that smaller dogs are always a bit... naughty... We only had big dogs, Alsatians and St. Bernards, and they were never naughty. :)

Wow Emeraude - six (!) cats. : ))))
Well, there´s good naughty and then there´s bad naughty... I do love animals, especially big cats, it´s the wonder and the beauty of nature. There´s a small zoo at Jardin des Plantes in Paris, I took a couple of pics of a beautiful leopard there this spring - I swear he was posing and all! : ))) Safely behind glass though. I would love to have a cat again, but when you´re travelling a lot - doesn´t work very well.

And now back on track: Gavin and his pets! (I guess fake ones are good because one doesn´t have to feed them? : )) I do believe I see the contoures of what I would call a crow (no, not Sheryl!), and Gavin would call a magpie, hanging upside-down over the bathtub...
