Here's more to dive into:

Gavin Friday - William Butler Yeats - Several Poems - National Library Of Ireland

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufwz5Nvbye0

"Gavin Friday reads "September, 1913", "To A Friend Whose Work Has Come To Nothing" and part of "To Ireland In The Coming Times" (sorry my new camera turned itself off!) by William Butler Yeats at the National Library Of Ireland, 30/06/2010.
Martin Hayes (Violin) and Dennis Cahill (Guitar) play the accompanying music."

I´m repeating myself, but it´s worth saying again: Thank you so much Brantome, for taking the time to upload, and having the good heart to share this footage! Much appreciated!

Thanks Cecilia - yes, what's the point keeping this for oneself :) XXX
(did Gavin not do something together with them already in 1999?)...

That GF-evening in the NLI had been my second event after Christine Tobin's very enjoyable Jazz-take on the poet's work on the previous Monday, she's done a really good job on it! Hopefully more of you got to see her, too!?

Gavin's reading of his suggestive Yeats-choices was power-full, astute, well-timed, (..) humorous, vigorous, yet with vibrant tenderness... alternating with the music of the same impressive "virtues"... Martin Hayes' father used to play in the Tulla Ceili Band from Co. Clare, so it's in the blood... and how! http://www.ceolas.org/artists/Martin_Hayes/ and there was seducer No. 3 - Dennis Cahill (who, unfortunately, I have to admit, couldn't dish up even more of his fine skills that evening) (http://www.ramblinghouse.org/2009/07/dennis-cahill/ ) ...and the three really sent the audience onto an utterly enjoyable flight, on a Wednesday evening, Dublin City......

Thank you all three of you!!!

Thank you all for sharing the experience for those who could not get there!
