Yeah the interview was very interesting, and quite informative. I came away very certain that the interview like the one I did was long overdue, because he talked so eruditely about his work, giving some insight I had never heard him speak about his work. In my opinion, and the reason I did it, was because his work right now and the press he gets seems too centred around Bono's BFF than asking, why are you painting like this, what was the transition from this to this, etc?

I don't live in Dublin anymore, I haven't seen his contribution. I work for an auction house, and they're kind of affiliated with one in Ireland so hoping to stay in the company long enough I can transfer over. That's actually a very good idea, buying a catalogue, perhaps I'll buy a catalogue as well.

Thanks again for the info. Isola! Wow, you interviewed Guggi. That must have been so interesting. I really wish I could get back to Dublin so I could see some of his work in person (and maybe even say hi to Strongman in that skate shop too)!!! Have you seen Guggi's contribution to the Revelation exhibit? It is not available to view online as far as I can see. The best I can do is order the catalog through the museum shop.

Yes, it's a skate shop on Temple Bar. I would go in because my friend is heavily tattooed and all her friends work at a tattoo parlor in the same building, so while she'd go get inked I'd walk around the shops. But yeah, I guess i know a bit about the family because I used to be co-workers with one of Guggi's relatives, and she went in one day to get some money for lunch from Trevor. He introduced himself and shook my hand. I also interviewed Guggi for my master's dissertation a year ago, and he spoke about his upbringing.

I don't know much else about the family. I was just surprised that Guggi really isn't the black sheep per se, a fair amount of the kids have long hair, and have done something 'different' with their lives.

Thanks Isola! Can I be a bit nosy and ask what kind of store or its name? I think his brother Peter owned a skateboard shop way back when. I know he is a successful photographer now. Can I ask which brother? By the way , you seem very knowledgeable about the Rowan family. There is 10 children, but I think I only know 7- Clive, Guggi, Strongman, Andrew, Peter, Johnny, and sister Gwen. Do you happen to know the rest? Just curious! How does Strongman look? He looked great in a photo with most of the band in 2004. I think it was the Irish Times.
